FMS image of the boundary interval between Units II and III. Although this boundary is somewhat gradational, it is placed at the occurrence of the deepest significant ash layer, imaged here. The differing character of the intervals above and below is evident, with more prominent ash layers above and homogeneous bioturbated mudstone below. FMS data has been processed with dynamic normalization.
