Safety Procedures
Safe operating practices and personnel safety, as well as protection of the environment and pollution prevention were priorities for both the Science Operator and the drilling subcontractor. Over the course of ODP, safety policies (guidelines) and specific procedures to follow in order to minimize risks were continually upgraded. As a result there are multiple versions of some policy and procedure documents. This section provides links to important policies and procedures as of the end of ODP operations. Earlier drafts of some of these documents appear in the ODP Policy Manual in the Administration section of this site.
