Logs recorded with the Natural Gamma Ray tool in Hole 1149B. The caliper log in the first column shows the very poor hole conditions in the upper 180 meters, where recovery was almost 100%, and the very good hole in the cherts and chalks below this depth, where recovery was less than 10%. Combining core and logs, we have a complete picture of the sediment section entering the Izu-Bonin trench.
