Preliminary interpretation of the logging curves obtained in Hole 1188B with the resistivity at the bit tool. The deep electrical resistivity and gamma ray logs were used to identify 11 logging units that are divided into 31 logging subunits. A comparison to the core lithostratigraphic units identified in Hole 1188A shows a larger degree of detail in structural features and variations in alteration derived from the logs mainly because of the low core recovery in the shallow portions of the Snowcap hydrothermal field.
