Interpreted seismic reflection profile (Oc270-Line 32, strike orientation) across Site 1073. Correlation of interpreted seismic surfaces with the surfaces seen on the shelf is only tentative. Surface pp4(s) is interpreted to occur at or near the Pleistocene/Pliocene boundary. Note good correlation of gamma-ray cycle boundaries with interpreted seismic surfaces. Gamma-ray profile above 88 mbsf (just below pp1[s]) was acquired through the BHA and has been shifted to the right to match the open-hole interval below, the absolute values above 88 mbsf are therefore only qualitative.
